Right of withdrawal

For consumers

Platform and membership

The contracting party for membership fees is usually the organization, not OpenMember as the technical platform. Paid consumer contracts may have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal.

Withdrawal from the organization

If you enter a paid membership as a consumer, send the withdrawal to the provider named by that organization. Payment processing through Stripe does not change that.

TODO: Organizations must provide their own withdrawal notices in the widget, checkout, and invoices. Decide whether OpenMember should add templates or required fields for this.

Withdrawal from the platform

If you enter a direct paid contract for OpenMember as a consumer, you can withdraw within 14 days without giving a reason. Send the withdrawal to Austrian Committee for NATO Enlargement, email support@openmember.io.

TODO: Clarify whether OpenMember itself offers paid consumer contracts or only organizations bill members. Add a postal withdrawal address.
